First Swim

On Memorial Day we filled up Garrett and Gaitley's pools in the front yard and let them play in the water. The water from the hose was freezing and Daddy didn't want his sweet baby girl to get cold, so he carried warm buckets of water from the house to fill her pool. Poor Garrett got the cold water, but he didn't mind one bit. I knew Gaitley would love playing in the water. She loves her bath and cries when it's time to get out.
We did have one minor accident while we were filling Garrett's pool. Gaitley was playing on the outside of it and fell head first into the water. It scared me to death, but didn't really bother her.
Also, she is finally getting her first tooth. Oddly enough, it's coming in on the top instead of the bottom, but oh well at least it's a tooth.

Knight in Shining Armor

Garrett loves playing dress-up. His newest thing is rescuing the princess from the dragon. I'm usually the princess and Daddy is the dragon, but today Gaitley got to wear the crown. Garrett saved her several times and she thought it was so much fun. It's amazing to watch them play with each other. Most of the time Garrett is so good with Gaitley and she thinks he hung the moon. I am so blessed to have such wonderful siblings and hope my children will feel the same way about each other.

Soaking up the Sun

I can hardly keep my children inside. Garrett would live in the backyard if I let him. He is so independent and spends hours out back just playing in the sandbox or on his playset. I think Gaitley is going to be the same way. I put her in the sandbox for the first time the other day and she loved it. After a few mouthfuls of sand, she realized it was better to play with than to eat. What a fun day! The other pictures are just some fun ones outside playing.

Gaitley is 9 months old

Where has the time gone. I can't believe Gaitley is already 9 months old. As you can tell from the pictures, she is such a happy baby. She is really all over the place now. She is standing up all by herself and even pushing a little stroller. She is definitely a momma's girl. She just starts giggling and smiling when I walk in the room. I love it! We can already tell she is going to be busier than her brother. She is into everything and is already doing things Garrett never did, like playing in the toilet and pulling everything out of her drawers. We're going to have our hands full with her.

We were so ready for the rain to stop, but Garrett made the best of it. Once the storms passed we finally let him go out and splash in the puddles.
Gaitley loves looking at Marley. That crazy dog makes her laugh.

Gaitley already loves posing for the camera.
Silly kids
Garrett actually smiled for the camera.
